Chronic Whistler

That is my Corby, he is a chronic whistler. He'll be heard giving a short, high whistling sound many times throughout the day. It is rather interesting. He does it to signal he is done with an assignment, he does it to get our attention, he does it when he thinks something is amazing or he just does it for no reason at all. I believe he does it because it is his way of showing he is happy and content. He doesn't do it as much when he is cranky.

We saw buds on the ornamental pear trees today! We also saw a few fat robins on the driveway. Spring is on the way!!!!

School Report:

English: Explode the Code 1.5 pages 1-3(short a sound), talked about the different parts of a book and of a story.

Math: Test on ordinal numbers: Did well with everything but spelling of the words for 1st(first), 2nd(second) and so on. Excel sheet with Clint involving the cheapest store to buy the ingredients to make green eggs and ham.

Books: "Green Eggs and Ham", "Horton Hears a Who", "The Goat Lady"-oral narration on Green Eggs and Ham

Other: Played Uno with Gran. Discussed trying new foods and why it is important to try things even if you don't think you will like them. Made up his own silly recipe, drew a picture and dictated the directions. The result?:

"Lemonade Apple Drink"
1. Put the lemonade into the mixer
2. Put apples into the mixer
3. Push the left 2 buttons
4. Then, it will go and just drink it

Supper tonight: Sausage, egg noodles and peas.
