The baby goat has a name! The children decided "Hopper" would be a good name for her since she likes to hop and jump around. When we get to play with her she will hop up on your back and jump off. When she is walking around she will jump straight up into the air. It is amusing to watch. Last night when we were playing with her we noticed she is starting to get horns. It feels kind of funny.
The 2 older kids were sporting sore throats this week. I could really tell Corb's was bothering him as he never complains when he isn't feeling well. This week he had tears in his eyes from the pain. We did a lot of down time this week until everyone recovers. They are feeling better, but they are not all the way there yet.
Busy weekend ahead of us. DONUT DAY! Much excitement is buzzing about in anticipation.
I think that some blending of sounds/sounding out/whatever you want to call it finally started clicking with Corb yesterday. He began sounding out words and writing them on a sheet of paper. He wrote "Dodde(Daddy), Wrm(worm), Brd(bird), Rat, Carr, dog" and some others that I can't recall right now. We did not tell him if the spelling was right or wrong, we just went with an "Atta Boy" since he was finally trying to work words out. We knew if we told him they were wrong he would get discouraged and stop trying. We were so excited for him.
