That means a lot more time outside. Which means a slacking off of inside responsibilities.
The "baby" trees have leaves. I just love them. The lilacs put out their first blooms yesterday. We have a whole jar full of them on the kitchen table as well as some randomly put around the house by the kids. Everything I planted last fall is starting to get leaves or buds. So exciting. Only one hydrangea looks like it won't make it. The sunflowers the kids planted a few weeks ago are sprouting. The peas and onions are coming in nicely. The potatoes just started pushing through the soil. The broccoli, cabbage and lettuce are getting bigger. The blueberry bushes and grape vine are getting leaves. We have a chicken sitting on 4 eggs, she is on day 11 out of 21 days. I have my first case of poison for the spring/summer. We've been spending most of our days outside, all day. We have been having school outside. Life is just good.
We've also been busy with our homeschool group, we go on field trips and have classes together. Last week we had an Earth Day celebration, then we had a Physics class and a tour of the Courthouse. This week we took a trip to the PA Railroad Museum. Corbin's favorite place ever. We spent almost all day there. Tomorrow we have group games with our HS group, Government Class and we end the day with a May Day celebration.
We are just very content in our level of activity and feeling so good about getting outside so much.
